A Family Fair with a Celtic Flair. Fairies, wizards, dragons, elves, wee folk, and all other mythical beings are welcome. If you wish, come in costume as your favorite fantasy fiction character or as a traveler from the 6th through the 15th centuries.

People Costume Contest

Judges will use these five criteria to judge contestants.

1.  Behaving like the character portrayed.

2.  Completeness – (Accessories, Hats, Make-Up, Shoes, etc.)

3.  Originality

4.  “Wow” factor

5.  Appropriateness to Category

 

Adult Categories

A.  Historical, Home-Created

B.  Pirate, Home-Created

C.  Fictional Hero, Home-Created

D.  Fantasy, Home-Created

E.  Purchased Costumes – All Types

 

Child Categories

A.  Historical, Home-Crreated

B.  Storybook, Home-Created

C.  Purchased Costumes – All Types

 

To Enter the Contest

Enter no later than 3:00 pm on Saturday, or 2:00 pm on Sunday.  Go to the Information Booth at Town Square for Entry Forms and Rules.  Fill out a form and get an armband with a number.

 

The Costume Contest has 3 parts to win.  They are:

1.  Gather at the Clock Tower at Town Square, with your armband number on, at the scheduled time.  (3:30 on Saturday, 2:30 on Sunday)  Judging begins then.  Get into character!

2.  Main Stage at Town Square for judges’ final deliberation.

3.  Costume Parade through festival.  Prizes are given out after the 3 parts are competed.  You may enter each day.  Winners from each day will compete Sunday for grand prizes.

 

T Shirts

Festival T Shirts are available at the booth on Merchant Street. 

Sizes available (while supplies last)

·      child - medium & large

·      adult sizes small - 3X.

There are a limited number of adult sweats with the dragon design from 2009.
